Grass Track event was to be held at Merton to be held on 24th September. Unfortunately we were unable to obtain approval of our Planning Permit, however we will continue in our endeavours to obtain approval for future events. We will also endeavor to obtain approval and permits for use of land at McCormacks near to where the Sawmill Rally is held.

The Dean Watson Motocross will now be held on Sunday 24th September if enough entries.  All entries online. Advertising on facebook and texts to be sent out to club members.

Next year 2018 there will be a full calendar of 6 events over various disciplines to be held at various venues.

TRAIL RIDE COMMITTEE: NIL

LAND COMMITTEE: Steve Roisetter advised that a Dozer had been at the club block for 11 days over the last few weeks. All of the Enduro Track has been graded, together with access tracks and Roads. The original entrance to the Enduro track from MX track was worked on. The Dozer also reinstated the 1km of track that was originally used by A Grade and B Grade Enduros some years ago.

An intermediate track has been dozed in with a length of approximately 400metres long. This track has been established to allow for the young riders moving up from the Pee Wee track but not yet confident enough to take on the main MX track, allowing them to build up confidence and skills.

The working bee held on the 20th August was a great success with some 25 members in attendance and 4 machines bought up by club members. We appreciate the effort by all in attendance with much groundwork being done and the Pee Wee track having an overhaul. Thanks to all who attended J

SAWMILL RALLY: Dean Garro advised that the DSE are happy with the proposed tracks, however, have capped entries to 450 this year. Dean is                                                        finalizing the Emergency Management Plan which will need approval from Victoria Police.

GUEST SPEAKER: LYNDON SNODGRASS

GUEST SPEAKER: Club Member LYNDON SNODGRASS spoke for some time about his recent trip to France to compete in the International Six Day Event as part of the Australian Team. Lyndon is sponsored by KTM and naturally rode the new KTM tpi 300 which he said was unreal. Lyndon could have raced in the Under 19 age category, however chose to ride in the Open E3 and finished 39th outright and 10th in his class. He is planning on riding the event next year in Chile. Congratulations Lyndon on an exceptional result in your first International 6 Day event J

GENERAL BUSINESS: Steve spoke to Accountant regarding the ZERO accounting package. It has been decided after receiving information from the Accountants that this is out of our price range and we shall continue to look for alternatives. Due to this, two meetings were held with committee members and we have decided to job share the Treasurers role with the Secretary taking back the role of memberships and see how this will go over the next 12 months.

Robyn advised that Membership Cards have been printed together with fridge magnets for all members for 2018

As per the Minutes of the AGM held on the 17th day of May, 2017 positions of office bearers were decided on after nominations made 9th August 2017. All operational requirements were dealt with at the abovementioned AGM
